When I give a skincare brand a go, I give them a red hot go but with Dermalogica, sometimes I get the feeling like they are trying to rip me off. The size of their skin range is quite extensive but somehow they are all dependent on each other, and their salespeople always give me the impression that if I don't include one thing (or some things) from that particular range, that it will just not be effective on my skin. Perhaps it's like this with all brands but for me, it seems like the Dermalogica range requires me to: cleanse, pre-scrub, exfoliate, tone, boost, serum, moisturise and any other steps in between, and if I were to do that day and night I would never get a chance to leave the house.
Although I do believe in meticulously caring for my skin, I am also a firm believer in giving it a break so as not to have it be fully dependent on more than ten products in a routine. I know there are alot of Dermalogica fans out there, but I think I'm going to have to take a break from this brand for now. I just feel like, while they do the job in cleaning my skin, I'm more after skincare that does more than just...clean my skin...or is that just asking to much?
